Experience giving
and see what it
does for you!

Many years ago, whilst working for Olivetti, I won a prize of a holiday for two in Italy for 10 days.

Having been fortunate to travel to many European countries, I decided to give the prize to my Mum and Dad who had never been abroad.

My Dad was a milkman, delivering milk to people’s doorsteps 7 days a week in the days before we all had refrigerators (can you believe that!)

Even in his early 50’s he had not had a holiday for some 20 years - but never complained or was envious of others.

So, when I told them about a free holiday in Italy, and whilst they were away one of my brothers and I would take over the milk deliveries for a couple of weeks, both Mum and Dad became quite emotional.

They had an amazing time and talked about their trip for many years - creating memories and experiences they never forgot.

For me, seeing their joy and gratitude was one of the most satisfying feelings I have ever had - it meant so much to them and so little effort on my part.

One of the most beautiful aspects of experience giving, is the creation of shared memories. When you gift someone an experience, you're not just providing them with a momentary thrill; you're offering an opportunity to create lifelong memories.

Another remarkable facet of experience giving is the joy of anticipation. The excitement that builds up as someone looks forward to their upcoming adventure is often as delightful as the experience itself. The anticipation can be just as rewarding for the giver, as you get to share in the excitement of your loved one.

Experience giving is like giving a gift twice – first, the thrill of anticipation, and then the joy of living out the experience. This sense of anticipation and shared excitement can infuse positivity and happiness into both the giver and the receiver.

In a culture of excess, experience-giving promotes a shift towards mindful and intentional gift-giving. It encourages us to consider the true value and impact of our presence, fostering a culture of meaningful connections and lasting experiences.

So, this is the time of year when we often get requests for financial help from non-profit organizations like Healing in America - these gifts are used to “pay it forward” in allowing us to help so many people with health and emotional challenges, often at little or no cost to them.

We work with our veterans, we support Native American Indigenous Tribes in Michigan and we currently help our registered nurses, through scholarships, attend our healing workshops at cost reduction in order for them to help their patients in hospitals, through energy healing.

According to research, the giver gains as much if not more than the recipient so please make a donation - and just see what that experience does for you.

Try it and see!

With Love & Light

“Each one of us has the ability to heal ourselves and others.  That gift, which is often dormant, can be awakened and used to transform our lives, and those around us, into something remarkable”
