Why should we show gratitude in these tumultuous times?
When we look around at what is happening in our world right now, it can be difficult to appreciate what we should be grateful for!
On the surface, there is so much negative news that can easily affect us and drag us down on all levels.
Yet on a deep level, we all know by allowing our energy and thoughts to focus on these events, we are adding to the collective consciousness of our perception of what a dreadful world we live in!
As I have mentioned before in our newsletter, each day at the start of my meditation I give gratitude - and if we think about things on a deeper level, each one of us does have something to be grateful for.
We are fortunate to live in the countryside in a beautiful town, and just sitting and connecting with nature is in itself pretty amazing. Just seeing that Mother Nature succeeds despite us, and the harm we do, is in itself a miracle.
I read somewhere that if all human beings disappear right now on Earth, all other lifeforms would continue to flourish and thrive. A sobering thought!
I think sometimes it is the simple things in life that we should be grateful for - our children - our family and our friends - these are things we only really appreciate when we lose them. We take so much for granted in life and rarely stop to “smell the roses”.
On a more spiritual level, we all decided we wanted to be here - right now - to effect the changes our planet is going through. We “volunteered”, and were carefully selected - and here we are!
We are all experiencing these changes at this time - we may not understand them but we know we can never go back to how things used to be. As a healer I see many clients going through life-changing challenges, not understanding why things are as they are, and are frustrated they cannot fix things.
I find that by letting the Universe know what I want - my intentions - and then trusting that the Universe will handle how and when everything seems to work out.
For that, I am truly grateful.
Try it and see!
With Love & Light
