Let Us Design the World
Have you noticed when you travel to a different geographical area it feels different?
When I go back to England – or holiday in another European country as soon as you get off the plane – everything “feels” different.
What we are picking up on is the collective consciousness of that particular place.
It’s like a cloud covering that area with the beliefs of people in that region.
Some of you may remember up until the 1950’s there was a belief around the world that no one could run a mile in under 4 minutes. Doctors warned that our hearts would burst and it was physically impossible and that the human body couldn’t stand the strain.
However, Dr Roger Bannister had a personal belief that it could be done and he trained really hard to prove this. In the 1954 Olympic Games in Helsinki he achieved his goal – and was the first person in the world to run a sub 4 minute mile.
I remember watching this as a teenager and it was amazing.
Guess what happened in the next few months?
Yes – your right – several more athletes ran a mile in under 4 minutes.
John Walker, a New Zealander, has run over 100 sub 4 minute miles.
So what happens of course is that the collective consciouness changes – we know it can be done and therefore our attitude changes.
The same situation with climbing Mount Everest – up until 1953 no one had climbed to the summit – again the belief was that it was not possible.
Along came Edmund Hillary and his sherpa, Tenzing – and they climbed the 29,035 feet to be the first in the world to show that it could be done.
Again, since that time many have achieved the same – breaking through the belief it was not possible.
So, whilst some may be skeptical, I truly believe that we can make a positive difference and change our world into the place it was designed to be.
Our thoughts, our beliefs and our actions will make a difference.
We do not want to leave it to Governments, nor to the Church, nor to Authorities, I believe it will be ordinary people – like you and me – that can and will make those changes.
Let’s make this the sort of world that we want for our Children and Grandchildren.
With Love & Light,
Roger
