What does synchronicity mean spiritually?

It means that you are collaborating with fate. You are tuned in and tapped in to your Divine nature and you are being guided and directed by something Bigger than yourself.

When Carl Jung first published his ideas around synchronicity, it raised quite a few eyebrows in the world of science and psychology. As a man of science, these ideas seemed very woo-woo to many.

Here are a few situations you may feel you would ignore – but should you?

  • You walk into a book shop not knowing what to buy, and the book you need falls from a shelf and practically hits you over the head.

  • You pass by a shop window and see a particular shirt that you like, and later in the day you see that shirt being worn by someone you know.

  • A fairly common one – you are thinking about someone and then they get in touch. …

  • You keep running into the same person over and over….

  • You are thinking about something, then having it happen.

Synchronicities can be guidance when we do not know what to choose or what to change in our lives. If we are “stuck” it’s like someone from above hears our silent prayers and talks to us through other people, images or events.

Einstein described coincidences as being “God’s way of remaining unknown”.

  • Synchronicity connects the material world to the spiritual world through symbols that are not always understood, and which arise from the collective unconscious.

  • For example, if we’d go buy something and we bump into a neighbor we dislike, that is not a pure chance! Our spiritual guide may have wanted to tell us that our needs are not different from his own and he is an opportunity to make amends.

  • Perfect timing! Things happen for you just when you need them most.

  • Help and support appear in your life when you expect less from people you never met before.

Of course, the list of synchronicities can be endless and subjective as synchronicity is a more complex phenomenon. These are a few general examples that we all experience at a certain point in our lives.

The best way to recognize your synchronicities is to “think less and feel more”listen to your intuition. By being in tune with your inner voice, you can understand the outer signs easier.

Whilst shopping in a supermarket in England I was walking past the pharmaceutical section and a bottle of disinfectant was pushed to the front of a shelf I was walking past. I ignored it.

Two days later I was using a chainsaw to cut up logs and yes – my foot slipped, and the chainsaw sent through the top of my boot and cut into my ankle.

Having been warned by my wife Kim to “Be very careful” I decided it was best not to tell her!

She was out shopping at the time so I went upstairs to the bathroom and tried to stop the bleeding from a very deep cut – I could actually see one of the bones.

When she arrived back home she ran upstairs, as apparently I had left a trail of blood on the carpet leading up to the bathroom.

As soon as she saw the cut, she said we had to go immediately to the hospital and have it stitched.

My stubborn reply (being a Taurean) was no need for the hospital – I’m a healer!

A week later, the cut had still not healed, and I was hobbling around the same supermarket, walked past the pharmaceutical department again and guess what?

The same bottle of disinfectant literally fell off the shelf and bounced off my foot.

This time I “got it” - purchased it - went back and swabbed the cut and within 48 hours a scab had formed and it’s been fine ever since.

So next time you feel something is “just a coincidence” ponder a little, and realize that maybe, just maybe, the universe is telling you something.

Roger
